Will junk software count as E-Waste?
Once, my dad's friend inquired to his daughter in EEE about me,and she promptly replied to have seen me sitting inside the co-operative store and performing the nerdy act of "Software development" on the system present there. This kind identity may seem a bit prestigious to at-least some of you.But its more of a burden if you ask me.
Many of such so called projects were never used by anyone and are just piled up in my hard-disk,forcing me to create a separate directory for such E waste generated by me.And to my astonishment the directory has grown very much since I created it.

Out of the above files the projects done for the college or due to the college are listed below
1.Books : A E book manager:As part of accreditation activities for the Department of CSE Library.
2.mp-and-mc-book : I hoped this project (book) will make much better progress, but it did not.The lead author got busy with his academics, and that's a good enough reason.
3.Project Management System: Done in PHP,redone in Python. The PHP version was a fully working prototype and the python version helped me by serving as my mini project. The PHP version was planned for going over the college intranet, but no,ended up in my junk folder.
4.Sinfora : One of my recent projects, and one of the most challenging ones I have ever done.Demonstrated it in front of the prestigious staff of the College and was almost approved, but remained dead for the past two months, until last week, got a call regarding hosting it. This project "may" go on air.
5.Treasurehunt: Built based on an innovative idea from my friend in EEE.Talked about it nearly 6 months ago, built it nearly 3 months ago,and now he too is preoccupied with himself.
There are a few more I don't list here.Forget those.Lets analyze these first.

Thats a lot of E waste I think :)
The gems I found amidst this heap are:
1.Learned a lot making me a fully confident developer.
2.Pulled me out of FB because I did not get time to code
3.Gave me the confidence to apply for any job/intern that feel I will fit in
4.A lot of reputation in stackoverflow.com
5.Last but not the least, the spotlight I mentioned in Line 1,Its enjoyable :)
Apart from above, here are some perks :),
1.Free coffee from co operative store.
2.Multiple instances of treat by the staff of college
3.Treats by projects referred by the college staff, outside the college walls,no matter completed or not.:)
4.Own a computer at the CCF
For anyone who feels that he is growing in this direction, approach and accept offers cautiously :P else you will end up blogging.
